Lou Burns - BAFTA Connect Writer/Director - BA (Hons) ELL, QTS

Lou is an award winning writer and director passionate about social realist drama and comedy with strong northern roots. Her work explores themes of poverty, injustice, corruption, inequality and community. In 2022, her pilot 'RIOT' placed in the top 3% of 4,718 submissions to the BBC Writersroom and earned her a place on BBC Voices 2023/24. She has also been a finalist for the Northern Writers Award and Channel 4’s 4Stories talent scheme. Alongside her role as Script Writer and Creative Director at Morning Sir Productions, in 2025 Lou completed a further development programme with the BBC Writers Access Group, a scheme designed to remove barriers for disabled writers. She has developed a TV Pilot of returnable, procedural drama as part of that initiative.

With experience in directing, camera operating and editing across multiple formats, he ensures Morning Sir Productions’ films are visually dynamic and technically polished. An outstanding and remarkably gifted Editor whose work elevates every project he touches, Aaron is equally fluent in film and digital content, bringing technical precision together with a sharp storytelling instinct. As Technical Director, he specialises in crafting a visual language that enhances the emotional truth of each story, working in close collaboration with Creative Director Lou Burns to deliver authentic, socially rooted films. Aaron is a true Creative and Visionary, with experience working across the mediums of film, television and theatre, and digital content.
